의료ㆍ보건 현장에 기여하는 Industry 4.0 간호교육 혁신 대학!
서울여자간호대학교가 60년의 역사 속에서 발전을 거듭하여 오늘에 이룰 수 있도록 우리 학교에 관심을 갖고 성원하여 주신 모든 분들께 감사를 드립니다.
우리 대학교는 개교 이래로 오로지 우수한 간호 인력을 양성하겠다는 목표만을 고수하여 왔습니다. 여러 학과가 공존하는 대학이 아닌 간호학과란 단일 학과의 대학으로서 긍지를 갖고 이를 장점으로 특성화 교육에 심혈을 기울여 왔습니다. 의료 현장에서 어떤 경우에도 능동적으로 대처할 수 있도록 실습을 중시하면서, 학생들의 질적 향상에 심혈을 기울여 왔습니다. 또한 국제화시대에 대비하여 이미 미국, 일본, 대만등과 교류하면서 Global 인재 양성에도 힘을 쏟고 있습니다.
현재 만 명에 가까운 졸업생을 배출, 우리나라에서 가장 많은 졸업생을 양성한 대학 중에 하나가 되었습니다. 각종 병원은 물론 보건행정계, 교육계, 정치계 등 다양한 방면에서 지도자적인 삶을 살고 있습니다. 해외에도 많이 진출하여 미국에 1000여명, 독일에 150여명이 활동하고 있어서 우리들에게 좋은 울타리가 되고 있습니다. 2012년과 2013년 간호사 국기시험에서는 전국 수석자를 배출하기도 하였습니다. 물론 졸업생들은 높은 취업률을 나타내고 있습니다.
2012년에는 롯데 그룹의 부회장을 거치면서 기업 경영에 탁월한 능력을 나타낸 신준호 회장이 우리 대학교 이사장으로 취임하여 “제 2창학”을 선언하며 또 한 번 크게 도약하는 기틀을 마련하고 있습니다. 이런 노력의 결과로 짧은 시간에도 많은 발전을 거듭하고 있습니다. 작년에 그간의 숙원이었던 4년제 대학으로 승격하여 간호 학사를 배출하게 되었습니다. 또한 고등직업교육평가인증원에서 시행한 평가에서도 우수한 성적으로 인증 받는 쾌거도 이룩하였습니다.
우수한 교수님, 성실한 교직원, 그리고 만 명에 가까운 동문들, 그리고 지역 주민들을 비롯한 여러분들의 성원에 힘입어 더욱 크게, 힘 있게, 그리고 높이 비상하는 "학생이 오고싶은 대학", "산업체가 알아주는 대학", "동문이 자랑스럽게 생각하는 대학"이 되도록 노력하겠습니다. 항상 관심을 갖고 성원하여 주시기를 바랍니다.

Since its founding in 1954, Seoul Women’s College of Nursing has only sought to foster outstanding and competent nurses. Maintaining the pride of a nursing college with a single nursing department, we have devoted ourselves to specialized nursing education and to producing more qualified and specialized nurses by enhancing the quality of education with an emphasis on nursing practices in order to actively respond to clinical fields. In addition, we do our best to strive forward in the global stage by improving the global talents of all students through the cooperation with other foreign institutes in America, Japan, and Taiwan. With about 10,000 graduates at present, our college becomes the top nursing college that produced the biggest number of nurses in our country. The graduates of our college have lived their lives as nursing leaders in the various nursing fields such as hospital, public health administration, education, and politics.
Among our graduates, about 1000 nurses in America and about 150 nurses in German actively serve their professional life in health care, and this is clear indications that Seoul women’s College of Nursing is moving beyond Korea. Two graduates of our school had the highest scores in national nursing license examination in 2012 and in 2013, respectively. The employment rate of the college marks high every year. In 2012, JoonHo Shin, who was a vice-chairman of Lotte Group and proved his excellent leadership in business, was appointed as a chief director of the foundation, declared the new slogan, “the Second Foundation,” for the college and promised that he would contribute himself to paving the way for the success to make a new leap up toward the world. All-out efforts began toward remarkable breakthroughs in such a short period of time. Last year, the college was appointed as a 4-year nursing college, and now, we can produce nurses with bachelor’s degrees in nursing. We also obtained a certification from Korea Accreditation Board of Vocational Higher Education with the best score in the college evaluation. Seoul Women’s College of Nursing will be soaring to be the best, the most powerful, and the most advanced nursing college with the great devotion of excellent professors, competent faculties, and 10,000 alumni of the college.
