경남정보대학교는 1965년 설립자이신 민석(民石) 장성만 박사 내외분께서 ‘기독교 정신’에 입각한 인재양성이라는 소명 아래 설립한 대학입니다. 이러한 장성만 박사의 설립 정신을 바탕으로 경남정보대학교는 知·情·意가 균형 있게 성장하고 근면, 자립, 협동, 신앙을 고루 갖춘, 하나님과 인류를 위해 봉사하는 인재를 양성하고 있습니다.

Kyungnam College of Information & Technology (KIT) was founded in 1965 with the Christian spirit as its founding principle. It was the first junior college to be established in the Busan-Kyungnam area. Ever since, KIT has done its best to foster professionals, the foundation for the development of Korea.

A founder Dr. Sung-Man Chang established KIT, his endless passion and dedication has made KIT into what it is today.

Since its foundation, KIT has continuously made bold changes and tackled all challenges head on for 58 years in order to cultivate upright individuals and professionals well-balanced in knowledge, mind, and will in accordance with the foundational philosophy of Dr. Chang. In particular, KIT has constantly proposed vision for junior college education, and has taught the students the spirit of service and love under the slogan, "Building the students’character is the centerpiece of future education."

Based upon its history, KIT will continue to provide customized education services in the future as a student-, parent-, business-, and community-friendly college. KIT will also provide the advanced campus model through the construction of the Centum City Campus, and strengthen international industrial-academic cooperation between foreign colleges and companies in order to provide our students with an environment in which they can develop into world class talent.
