한서대학교는 1992년 ‘창의’, ‘신념’, ‘공헌’의 건학이념을 바탕으로 개교했으며, 2017년에 개교 25주년을 맞게 됩니다. 한서대학교를 설립한 저는 다른 대학이 모방할 수 없는 특별한 대학을 세우고 싶었습니다. 대학구성원들과 함께 특성화된 교육을 위해 최선을 다했습니다. 그 결과, 최초의 특성화 인증 대학(항공분야)이란 명예도 얻었습니다.

이를 바탕으로 한서대학교는 글로벌 TOP5 항공특성화대학을 지향하는 제5기 대학중장기발전계획(2014~2018)을 추진하고 있습니다. 특성화 명문대학이 될 수 있도록 항공, 예술디자인, 보건 분야에 이어서 태안캠퍼스의 인프라를 활용한 안전체험교육과 해양·수산교육의 특성화도 계속 추진할 것입니다.

특히 2017년에는 공항 인프라 구축과 공항 운영· 관리 분야의 창의융합적 인재 양성의 모태가 될 항공융합학부를 신설했습니다. 항공학부와 항공융합학부로 구성된 한스국제항공대학을 중심으로 ‘세계로 가는 길’, ‘항공산업과 세계의 관문’, 공항 산업의 핵심 인력을 양성하는 글로벌 TOP5 항공특성화대학의 꿈을 실현하겠습니다. 차원이 다른 특성화교육으로 세상을 바꾸는데 기여하겠습니다. 지역사회에 기여하고 국제사회에 공헌하는 ‘봉사하는 인재’ 육성도 게을리 하지 않겠습니다.

한서대학교가 그리 길지 않은 역사에도 불구하고 비약적인 발전을 할 수 있었던 것은 우리대학을 사랑해주시는 많은 분들의 격려와 관심이 있었기 때문일 것입니다. 젊은이들이 큰 꿈을 펼쳐나가는 데, 디딤돌이 되겠습니다. 지역과 함께, 세계와 함께, 특성화 명문대학으로 비상하는 한서대학교를 계속 지켜봐 주시기 바랍니다.

HanSeo University, which opened in 1992 based on the founding ideologies of “creativity,” ‘Confidence,’ and ‘contribution’, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2022. Founding HanSeo University, I wanted to build a special university that no other university could imitate. As a result of doing our best for specialized education with the members of the university, we also earned the honor of being Korea\'s first specialized certified university (aviation field).

HanSeo University, ranked as one of the world\'s top 5 aviation specialized universities, has successfully implemented its 5th mid-to-long-term development plan (2014~2018) has emerged as a prestigious university specialized in the fields of aviation, art, design, and health. The safety education experience using the Taean Campus\' aviation and marine education infrastructure and the excellence of specialized education in the marine and fisheries sectors have been evaluated as unrivaled.

HanSeo University established the School of Transdisciplinary Aeronautical Studies in 2017, which serves as the basis for fostering creative and convergent talents in the field of airport infrastructure construction, operation and management. By combining the School of Aeronautical Science and the School of Transdisciplinary Aeronautical Studies to form the HanSeo International College of Aviation (HICA), this objective becomes a reality.

HanSeo University has achieved so much in its brief history because of the enthusiasm, support, dedication and commitment of its staff, students, and benefactors.
