2023년 계묘년이 시작되었습니다. 우리 대학이 개교 100주년을 넘어 새로운 100년을 향해 나가는 시점에 있습니다.

지난 100년 굴곡지고 어두운 역사 한가운데 미국 남장로교에서 파송한 14인의 여선교사님들과 예수님이 몸소 보여주신 섬김과 희생을 사명으로 감당해 온 모든 교직원들과 동문들의 기도와 애교심으로 지금까지 하나님의 학교로 남아있습니다.

우리 대학은 목회자, 사회복지사, 상담가, 음악가, 간호사와 체육인 등 기독교 정신을 바탕으로 ‘행복한 섬김’ 전문인을 양성하는 데 힘쓰고 있습니다.

전라북도에서 본 교단 산하의 유일한 신학대학교, 행복 플랫폼 안에서 우리 학교의 학생들은 3H, 건강하고(Healthy) 행복하고(Happy) 희망찬(Hopeful) 삶의 여정을 이어갈 것입니다. 이 모든 것은 교직원, 동문 그리고 한일을 위해 기도와 마음과 물질로 도와주시는 분들이 계시기에 가능한 일입니다.

지금까지 하나님께서 우리 학교와 늘 함께 일하고 계십니다.

I’d like to welcome those who have visited the homepage of Hanil University and Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

Today’s Hanil University and Presbyterian Theological Seminary came into existence when the Neel Bible School founded in Gwangju 97 years ago by nursing missionary, Elizabeth Shepping and the Hamilton Bible School founded in Jeonju a year later by medical missionary, M. Ingold merged. Over the past 97 years, talented people have been educated throughout the joys and sorrows of the nation. Celebrating its 100th anniversary soon, we plan to take full charge of our university’s unique mission of reviving souls with faith and bodies with medicinal practices. To achieve this goal, we are going to open Campus 2 in downtown Jeonju starting from this semester.

As much as being nicknamed as an alternative university, students are satisfied with our university. Professors equipped with academic excellence are dedicated to teaching and counseling the students so I believe this nickname indicates how students are encouraged to design their bright future. Faculty members are also working hard to attend to the students with kindness. The graduates of our university equipped with faith, bright personality and professional knowledge will become proud, healthy citizens of our society.

Our university pursues spiritual training, professional knowledge and physical health simultaneously. The research performances of our professors are worthy of close attention. Moreover, our students perspire to maintain their health. This year, 5 sports clubs of our university will be taking part in the National Sports Festival as a representative of Jeollabuk-do Province.
