평택대학교 홈페이지를 방문하신 여러분, 환영합니다. 평택대학교는 19세기 세계적인 선교전략가 피어선(Arthur T. Pierson) 박사의 복음주의 정신에 따라 1912년 언더우드 선교사가 서울에 설립한 피어선기념성경학원에서 출발하여 현재 창학 110주년에 이르는 오랜 역사와 전통을 지닌 대학입니다. 평택대학교는 삼성전자, LG전자, 평택항, 주한미군 등 최고의 지역 여건을 바탕으로 ‘환황해권 ICT･물류허브 중심대학’으로 성장하고 있습니다. 이런 노력의 결과 평택대학교는 교육부의 사회맞춤형 산학협력선도대학(LINC+) 육성사업 등에 선정되어 사회가 필요로 하는 창의·혁신 인재를 양성해왔고, 주한미군과의 오랜 상호 협력을 통해 학생들에게 다양한 실무 경험과 기회를 제공해왔습니다. 그러나 우리의 앞길에는 여러 가지 도전들이 기다리고 있습니다. 4차 산업혁명에 따른 기술혁신, 인간의 역할과 가치에 대한 새로운 도전, 고등교육을 둘러싼 사회·경제 환경의 변화 등이 그것입니다.평택대학교는 이에 대응하여 ‘실천형 융합혁신 2C(converge, connect)+2E(extend, expand)’를 교육혁신의 목표로 정하고, 뉴노멀 시대를 선도하는 ‘미래 수요 맞춤형 i+(아이플러스) 인재’를 양성하기 위한 전환을 빠르게 진행하고 있습니다. 전공교육에서는 ‘전공 통합플랫폼(NExUS)’을 구축하여 미래 공존사회를 위한 창의ㆍ융합 능력을 배양하고, 교양교육에서는 현대 사회에 필요한 필수 교양과 더불어 인간을 이해하는 참된 인성까지 두루 갖춘 ‘ARCHE 인재’를 양성함으로써 4차 산업혁명 시대에 걸맞은 사회 맞춤형 전문가를 키워낼 것입니다. 평택대학교는 교육부의 사학혁신지원사업을 수행함으로써 책임 있고 투명한, 개방되고 민주적인 ‘ATOP 혁신대학’으로 새로운 도약을 앞두고 있습니다. 평택대학교가 시작하는 아름다운 도전과 함께 새로운 100년의 역사를 만들어갑시다. Welcome to the website of Pyeongtaek University. Pyeongtaek University started as Pierson Memorial Bible Academy, established in Seoul by Missionary Underwood in 1912 in accordance with the evangelical spirit of Dr. Arthur T. Pierson, a world-renowned missionary strategist in the 19th century. And now, it is a university with a long history and tradition, reaching the 110th anniversary of its founding. Pyeongtaek University is growing as a ‘Central University of ICT and a Logistics Hub in the Pan-Yellow Sea region’ based on the best regional background, including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Pyeongtaek Port, and USFK. As a result of these efforts, Pyeongtaek University was selected for the Ministry of Education\'s social-tailored industry-academic cooperation leading university fostering project (LINC+) and was able to cultivate creative and innovative students needed by society. In addition, we have provided students with various practical experiences and opportunities through long-standing cooperation with USFK. However, there are many challenges ahead of us at the moment. These include technological innovation following the 4th industrial revolution, new challenges to human roles and values, and changes in higher education\'s social and economic environment. In response, Pyeongtaek University has set our education innovation goal as ‘practical convergence innovation 2C (converge, connect) + 2E (extend, expand)’. In addition, we are rapidly making a transition to nurture ‘I + talented students tailored to future needs’ who can lead the new normal era. We encourage students to build a ‘major integration platform (NExUS)’ through Major academic education to cultivate creativity and convergence skills for a future coexisting society. In addition, through liberal arts education, they can acquire not only the essential education necessary for modern society, but also true character to understand human beings. By nurturing ‘ARCHE talents’, we will nurture experts tailored to society suitable for the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Pyeongtaek University is about to take a new leap forward as a responsible, transparent, open, and democratic \'ATOP innovative university\' by carrying out the Private University Innovation Support Project of the Ministry of Education.
